The Tamaya Recreation Program strives to promote happy and healthy lifestyles for youth and families. We offer a variety of programs year around which include afterschool program, summer programs, Wellness Center kid care services, and various community events.

After School Program Registration

Recreation Program Services

The Tamaya Afterschool Program provides the youth of the Pueblo with various recreational activities that include physical activity, basic nutrition education, field trips, and arts and crafts activities. Homework help as well as resources for tutoring are also available for afterschool program. Programming with various intra-departmental partners is also provided during the school year. 

Youth from all school districts, starting from Kindergarten to High School are welcome.

The Tamaya Recreation Program provides seasonal camps through out the year. Summer Program, Winter Break Camp, and Spring Break Camps are provided each year. Each camp offers fun activities to keep kids busy and active during their school breaks.

Camps are open to all youth starting from Kindergarten to High School.

The Tamaya Recreation Program provides the Tamaya Wellness Center with Kid Care services. This service provides parents with the option to have someone watch their child for up to 2 hours while they work out. Kids will have fun playing and doing arts and crafts.

Kid Care is open from 4pm to 7:30pm, Monday – Thursdays.
