Sports & Events

The Tamaya Wellness Center’s Sports and Events Program offers year-round athletic activities for the Pueblo of Santa Ana and neighboring communities. We provide a variety of recreational sports programs for both youth and adults, including annual leagues, tournaments, and competitive events designed to promote physical activity and foster community engagement. Our mission is to deliver safe, enjoyable, and well-organized sporting events that participants of all ages can enjoy.

For adult sports, we offer co-ed volleyball and softball leagues, as well as men’s and women’s basketball tournaments and pick-up games. Our program also includes an annual women’s fast-pitch softball league and oversight of the Southern Pueblo Men’s Baseball League. In our youth programming, we organize boys’ and girls’ basketball leagues, along with Little League baseball and softball camps and clinics.

Commitment

As part of our commitment to promoting the program’s four core values—Friendship, Family, Fun, and Fellowship—we organize community events that embody these principles. Our annual events include the Community Recreation Fair, the Arts and Crafts Fair, and the “Tamaya’s Pastime Memorial” exhibition baseball game. We also collaborate with other Pueblo of Santa Ana departments and programs to support and promote their community events at the Wellness Center. Through these efforts, we aim to foster a sense of unity and engagement within the community.
